Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has stirred a heated debate on social media after promoting Kidi’s upcoming London concert.

‎Kidi is set to host a live concert experience on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Outernet London.

‎Sarkodie shared the event flyer on his Twitter (X ) account on Thursday, September 10, with the inscription "A night you don't wanna miss" encouraging his followers to support the event.

‎His post, however, attracted a range of reactions from netizens, with some questioning his support for Kidi while others defended the rapper’s decision to promote his fellow artiste.

‎‎While some fans embraced the gesture as a sign of support and unity in the Ghanaian music industry, others used the opportunity to take shots at the rapper, questioning his recent music output and relationships with fellow artistes.

‎One user, Kendrick Again, took a swipe at Sarkodie, questioning when he last released a solo project.

‎"When was the last time you released a solo project? hypocrite taking helping hands from others to revive your dead ass career #WAKEUP"

‎Prince Jidulah also challenged the rapper to prove himself with a solo project.

‎"Do a solo project if you think you get the kappa"

‎The debate intensified when Uncle Shalli accused Sarkodie of selectively supporting artistes while allegedly leaving out some of his industry rivals.

‎"He shared every other artiste link except stone sekof he dey hang plus wale … obidi dey do as if he nor see human before wei"

‎However, not everyone agreed with the criticism.

‎Lieutenant De-graft defended Sarkodie’s move, arguing that collaborations and mutual promotion are common within the music industry.

‎"I don’t get people’s mentality ooo. Didn’t Stonebowy take dopenation to London just for the numbers? Everyone uses everyone. You guys for think. Sark is just smart and you nigggas to daft!"

‎Another commenter, Jb, went further, accusing Sarkodie of benefiting from other artistes while allegedly taking away their spotlight.

‎" you used everyone in the industry. from EL to Kojoblack, i just thought about it."

‎"niqqa, you’re a parasite. drinking from people and then later render them hitless.

‎"you’re taking away from them the limelight. thief.“

‎Amid the criticism, Violence urged social media users to stop dwelling on past disagreements between Sarkodie and Kidi, suggesting that the two artistes may have resolved their differences privately.

‎"Why are some people in the comment section soo dump, don’t we resolve issues. You guys claim Kidi was insulting sarkodie and he’s now cool with him, do you guys know what happened next after the insult and trolling ?"

‎Blessman Buzz also called for unity among artistes, writing:

‎" Let support each other"

‎

‎Sarkodie’s post has since generated a lively conversation, with fans divided between those praising him for supporting Kidi and those questioning his motives and past relationships within the industry.
