Wendy Shay celebrates AOTY win at GMA Europe

‎Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has expressed excitement after being crowned Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards Europe.

‎‎The “Uber Driver” hitmaker took to X on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to celebrate the achievement and express gratitude to her fans, family, team and supporters for their continued belief in her career.

‎‎Reflecting on the recognition, Wendy Shay wrote:

‎"What a beautiful way to celebrate this journey. I’m truly grateful to have been crowned Artist of the Year at the just ended Ghana Music Awards Europe over the weekend."

‎‎She also acknowledged the people who have supported her throughout her musical journey, particularly her fanbase, The ShayGang.

‎‎"A huge thank you to my fans The ShayGang ,my team, my family, and everyone who continues to support and believe in the vision. This one means a lot," she said

‎Wendy Shay further highlighted the significance of her recent achievements, noting that she has secured major awards in both the United States and Europe within a short period.

‎"We have 2 in 3 months. GMA USA and GMA Europe. "
