TERIA Foundation, in partnership with Carter Enterprises Empire USA, has announced the 2nd Edition of the African Festivals Summit & Expo (AFRAVEX), scheduled for May 19 to 22, 2027, in Accra, Ghana.

The event, themed “Building Africa’s Global Festivals Network,” forms part of activities marking Africa Month and leading up to the celebration of Africa Day on May 25.

AFRAVEX 2027 will bring together festival organizers, cultural and tourism institutions, creatives, policymakers, investors, corporate organizations, media and members of the African Diaspora.

The summit and expo, the organisers say, is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to promote collaboration, cultural exchange, tourism, investment and the development of Africa’s festival industry.

AFRAVEX EXPO

A major component of the event will be the AFRAVEX EXPO, which will provide a platform for African festivals, tourism destinations, cultural organizations, creative businesses and brands to showcase their activities, network, promote opportunities and connect with sponsors, investors and international partners.

The Expo will feature areas covering festivals, culture, heritage, tourism, arts, music, creative industries, technology, sustainability and investment opportunities.

The organizers said AFRAVEX 2027 seeks to strengthen connections among African festivals and build a global network linking Africa’s festival industry with the African Diaspora and international markets.
