Ghanaian reggae artiste Ras Kuuku has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Highlife icon Daddy Lumba, describing him as the greatest musician Ghana has ever produced.

‎Speaking in an interview on Daybreak hitz, Monday, July 27, 2026, Ras Kuuku said Daddy Lumba's remarkable career, timeless music, and lasting influence on Ghana's music industry set him apart from every other artiste.

‎‎According to the reggae musician, anyone who disputes Daddy Lumba's status as Ghana's greatest musician does not fully understand the art and history of music.

‎‎"Daddy Lumba is the greatest of all time.

‎The GOAT of Ghana music, no doubt about that. Anyone who argues otherwise does not know what they are talking about. For those who love and understand music, we all know Daddy Lumba is the GOAT,” he stated.

‎Ras Kuuku praised Daddy Lumba for achieving extraordinary success during an era when musicians had limited access to modern technology and digital production tools.

‎He noted that the legendary singer consistently released hit songs that resonated with audiences across generations.

‎"Back then, when there was no AI or technology to assist musicians in creating music, Daddy Lumba was there. He continued to produce back-to-back hits,” he said.

‎He further stressed that Daddy Lumba's music transcended borders, touching the lives of countless Ghanaians both at home and in the diaspora.

‎Ras Kuuku noted that the Highlife legend's rich catalogue of songs inspired generations of music lovers and continues to remain relevant long after their release.

‎He further highlighted some of the late Daddy Lumba's popular songs including " Sika, Mey3 aka akwantuo mu, Me mpaebo and Ankwanoma."
