Deputy Chief Executive (CEO) of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr Jacob Anankware, has called on politicians to urgently invest in health facilities across the country, warning that the neglect of these centres poses a danger to Ghanaians.
Dr Anankware expressed concern that many health facilities nationwide have been left to deteriorate or remain unused instead of being properly managed to serve the public.
He lamented that buildings and equipment meant for health care are being allowed to spoil, denying citizens access to quality services.
Dr Anankware stressed that politicians should take a genuine interest in improving healthcare delivery, stating that any emergency or illness will still be handled by the nearest health facility.
He insisted that ensuring functional, well‑resourced health centres is the only way to guarantee that all Ghanaians, including leaders, receive proper care when the need arises.
