Tema: Police intercept truck loaded with over 3,000 slabs of substances suspected to be narcotics

The Ghana Police Service has intercepted a truck carrying 3,009 slabs of substances suspected to be cannabis at Sege Akpla Manya in the Greater Accra Region.

Police explained that the driver abandoned the Sinotruck and fled after officers moved in. The vehicle has been impounded for further investigations.

In a related development, two suspects, Victor Asigbey (40) and Peter Asigbey (35), were arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe officers with GH¢150,000 to secure the truck’s release.

According to the report, the suspects remain in custody and are expected to face court.
