I am happy for him- Man United interim head coach after Benjamin Sesko’s brace

Manchester United’s interim head coach Darren Fletcher got a taste of the frustration that has endured at the club in the 2025-2026 season as the Red Devils dropped points yet again from a winning position against a lowly ranked team.

Man United drew 2-2 with Burnley at Turf Moor after taking a 2-1 lead in the 60th minute thanks to Benjamin Sesko’s first brace for the club since joining the team this past offseason. However, the Red Devils conceded in the 66th minute through Jadon Anthony to pick up the draw.

Speaking to the BBC after his first game in his charge of the club on an interim basis following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, Fletcher was disappointed with the draw but happy for Sesko who has struggled to find his feet at his new club.

Man United have drawn with fellow lowly ranked teams like Wolves and Leeds United in recent weeks.
