The Kotobabi Circuit Court has granted bail to two men facing charges over the alleged circulation of a video involving President John Dramani Mahama and a purported conversation about GH¢150 million.

The accused persons, Issaka Yahaya of Nsem Fie TV and Godfred Ansu Damoah, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to publish false information after allegedly reposting and sharing the video on social media platforms.

The prosecution told the court that the video contained false information and that the two accused persons contributed to its dissemination by circulating the content online.

The court granted each accused person bail of GH¢30,000 with two sureties as proceedings continue.

The two men have been formally charged with conspiracy to publish false information. The case remains before the court, where further proceedings are expected.
