Ghana National Gas Company CEO, Judith Adjobah Blay, has earned a Master of Laws in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of Nottingham.

The qualification further strengthens her expertise in public procurement, corporate governance and institutional leadership, complementing more than 20 years of professional experience across Ghana's energy and public sectors.

Before assuming office as Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, Blay served as Deputy Director of Contracts Administration at the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, where she also held the role of Manager of Community Relations.

She previously established and managed the Procurement Department at the Bui Power Authority and served as Project Coordinator for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact II programme at the Ministry of Energy in collaboration with USAID.

Throughout her career, she has successfully managed multi-million-dollar projects while championing regulatory compliance, local content development, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement and governance reforms.

A Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS-UK), Blay also holds an MA in International Transactions from George Mason University in the United States, an MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and a BA in French and Linguistics from the University of Ghana.

She is an alumna of Wesley Girls' High School and has served on the advisory board of the Western Regional Coastal Foundation and other sustainability initiatives.

Reacting to the achievement, Ghana Gas Head of Corporate Communications Richard Kirk-Mensah described the milestone as "a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence, lifelong learning and visionary leadership."

He said balancing the responsibilities of leading one of Ghana's foremost strategic energy institutions while pursuing advanced legal studies was "truly commendable and inspiring," adding that the knowledge gained through the programme would further enhance her contribution to corporate governance, public procurement and the sustainable growth of Ghana Gas.
