Agradaa to face Court on February 5

The Amasaman High Court is set to determine the fate of convicted evangelist Patricia Asiedua, commonly known as Nana Agradaa, who has spent almost eight months in prison custody.

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, Agradaa was convicted and sentenced by the circuit court, presided over by Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah, for two counts of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretences. This conviction followed a full trial that lasted nearly three years.

She received a 15-year sentence, which is to run concurrently, along with a fine. After her conviction, Agradaa's lawyers filed for bail pending appeal, but this request was denied. She subsequently began her appeal, arguing that the trial court erred by not considering the number of days she spent in custody.

Additionally, she contended that the court failed to provide her with adequate time and resources to present her case, and characterised the sentence as excessively harsh. Agradaa is now seeking for the High Court to quash the trial court's decision.
