Ghanaian actress and filmmaker Xandy Kamel has urged Alpha Hour convener Pastor Elvis Agyemang not to dismiss the alleged arson attack on Grace Mountain Ministry, calling on him to carry out a thorough inquiry into the matter.
In a clip posted to her TikTok account, Xandy Kamel encouraged the pastor to ensure the incident is properly probed and that the reasons behind the alleged act are uncovered.
She cautioned him against yielding to pressure to forgive the suspect simply because the individual is a person of faith.
According to her, being a pastor does not mean one should ignore a serious matter such as an attempted arson attack on their church.
“Don’t sleep on this or allow people to influence your decision to forgive the suspect. Think outside the box because if your church members were directly affected by the fire, Ghanaians would have accused you falsely,” she stated.
She also warned that, had the alleged attack injured congregants, the pastor might have faced unfounded accusations and public condemnation.
“Make sure you get to the root of this case and find out the intentions of the lady for which she decided to burn down your church,” she added.
Xandy Kamel further urged vigilance, expressing concern that the incident could be part of a wider attempt to target the pastor and his family.
The remarks follow an alleged arson incident at Grace Mountain Ministry on 9 February 9, 2026. Pastor Elvis Agyemang released CCTV footage showing a woman purportedly spraying a substance believed to be fuel onto chairs inside the church auditorium before setting them alight.
In the wake of the incident, the Alpha Hour convener announced the temporary suspension of all in-person activities at the church premises while investigations continue.
