Police arrests thirty-six suspects over lynching of officer at Gindabour

The Ghana Police Service has arrested thirty-six suspects following the lynching of General Constable Redeemer Owusu by a mob at Gindabour in the Savannah Region.

The officer and his colleagues were attacked after a motorbike rider they had picked up died while being taken to hospital. Other officers sustained injuries, while the Police vehicle was damaged.

The suspects are assisting investigations and will be put before court. Reinforcement teams have also been deployed to maintain security in the area.
