Popular Ghanaian songstress and entrepreneur Mzbel has opened up about her relationship preferences, revealing that she favours older, married men over younger partners.

In an interview on Atuu with Nana Romeo, the 45-year-old musician disclosed that she is currently in an open relationship and claims she has “never been single.”

Mzbel explained that although she has dated many men over the years, her relationships are not primarily driven by physical intimacy.

“I am not the type who likes sex. That is why I prefer older men, especially married men,” she said.

According to her, younger men often place more demands on relationships, particularly after providing financial support, while older, married men tend to be less demanding due to their busy schedules and responsibilities.

“Younger men will demand sex all the time. Older men who are married are usually too busy and tired to be demanding. They just give you the money. Younger guys want sex anytime they give you money,” she stated.

The veteran musician further noted that she prefers intimacy to happen on her own terms, valuing emotional connection and comfort over pressure.

“I like it when I am ready for it, and it has to happen gradually. Maybe we go for dinner and have a nice time, and then I get in the mood. I find it strange when someone suddenly expects it without building the connection,” she added.
