GHANSU launches '#GhanaIsInTheHouse' campaign to rally support for the Black Stars at the 2026 World Cup

Ghana's premier supporters’ union has issued a rallying call to the nation, unveiling an ambitious campaign to back the Black Stars at the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With less than 90 days until kick-off in North America, the Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) launched its ‘#GhanaIsInTheHouse’ initiative in Accra.

This project aims to galvanise millions of fans across the country and the global diaspora as the team prepares for the world stage.

GHANSU has confirmed its intention to send a contingent of 400 dedicated supporters to the host nations of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This group will lead vocal and visual displays in the stands, ensuring that the Black Stars feel the intensity of Ghanaian passion, despite being thousands of miles from home.

During the launch, GHANSU President Abraham Boakye struck a defiant and resolute tone, stating that the union is going to the World Cup "come rain or shine."

He emphasised that with the tournament approaching, now is the moment to declare their commitment and readiness to support the national team.

The campaign has received a high-profile endorsement from Ambassador Dr Erieka Bennett, Convening Founder and Head of Mission of the African Union African Diaspora Forum.

Officially launching the initiative, Dr Bennett reminded fans that they are the team's "number two” an essential backbone for success.

She told the gathered union members that they are ambassadors for the country, tasked with showcasing the "Ghana spirit, professionalism, and passion" that define the nation.

As the countdown to the tournament quickens, momentum is set to increase rapidly. On March 17, GHANSU will officially announce its corporate sponsors and unveil its international partners during a dedicated ceremony.

Following this, the eyes of the world will turn to North America in June 2026, where the FIFA World Cup will kick off across 16 host cities.

The #GhanaIsInTheHouse campaign signifies more than just a travel plan; it serves as a nationwide drive to ensure that the Black Stars are inspired by a sea of red, gold, and green as they aim to make history on the global stage once again.
