Black Stars to face Morocco in October 4 friendly

By: Emmanuel Bekoe

Ghana's Black Stars will play Morocco in an international friendly on October 4 in Tangier, continuing preparations for upcoming competitive fixtures.

The match, set for the Grand Stade de Tanger during the next FIFA international break, gives both nations a chance to sharpen their squads ahead of their respective campaigns.

For Ghana, the fixture offers head coach Carlos Queiroz an opportunity to further evaluate his player pool, build cohesion and refine tactics as the team assesses different options within the squad. The Black Stars have been using the international window to prepare for the next stage of their campaign, and a clash with Morocco, one of Africa's leading footballing nations, represents a significant test of that progress.

Morocco, buoyed by strong recent form on the international stage, will provide Ghana with a competitive and closely matched opponent.

Ghana and Morocco have built a notable football rivalry in recent years, with their meetings consistently drawing strong attention. Their last significant encounter came at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where Morocco edged the Black Stars 1-0, a result that adds extra weight to October's rematch.
