Minister for Lands and Natural Resources arrives in South Africa for 2026 mining Indaba conference

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, arrived in South Africa on Sunday, February 8, 2026, for this year's edition of Africa's largest mining investment and policy forum, dubbed 'African Mining Indaba 2026.'

As the continent's leading mining and investment platform, the conference brings together governments, global mining companies, investors, and regulators. Its aim is to attract capital, shape policy, and set the agenda for responsible and sustainable mineral development across Africa.

Leading Ghana's delegation, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah will participate in a series of high-level dialogues and strategic engagements while contributing to broader discussions on the key challenges confronting the mining industry.

Among the core engagements, the sector minister, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah, will headline the highly anticipated 'Ghana Day' event, scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

As Africa's leading gold producer, this event will provide a platform to showcase Ghana's business potential to investors and deepen interest in its extractive sector.

Ghana's participation in this year's conference reflects the vision of the President, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, to advance the mining sector through expanded global partnerships and targeted strategic investment initiatives.
