Gov't Reshuffle: Mahama nominates Zanetor Rawlings, Mahama Ayariga for ministerial posts; reassigns two others

President Mahama has nominated Dr Zanetor Agyemang‑Rawlings for the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, and Mahama Ayariga for the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, pending parliamentary approval.

The President has also reassigned Kenneth Gilbert Adjei to the Ministry of Defence and Ahmed Ibrahim to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.

In a statement released and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President, Minister, Government Communications, the President said the reshuffle is in accordance with Article 78(1).

He submitted the names of the following Dr. Zenator Agyemang-Rawlings and Mahama Ayariga to Parliament, through the Speaker, for prior approval as Ministers of State.
