Antoine Semenyo leads Black Stars' 26-man squad for 2026 World Cup

Coach Carlos Queiroz has named his final 26-player squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with in-form Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo top of the list.

Also included are captain Jordan Ayew, Baba Abdul Rahman and Thomas Partey, among other established internationals.

Several players will make their World Cup debuts: Jerome Opoku, Kojo Oppong Peprah, Abdul Mumin, Benjamin Asare, Joseph Anang, Kwasi Sibo, Augustine Boakye, Caleb Yirenkyi, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Prince Kwabena Adu.

Others, including Gideon Mensah, Baba Abdul Rahman, Thomas Partey, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Antoine Semenyo, Iñaki Williams and captain Jordan Ayew, will be appearing at the World Cup for another edition.

Cyprus-based defender Derrick Luckassen has been called up as a replacement for Alexander Djiku, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a hamstring injury.

Notable absentees through injury include Mohamed Salisu, Mohammed Kudus and Alexander Djiku.

The team will face Wales in Cardiff on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, before travelling to Washington to conclude their preparations for the World Cup, which kicks off on Tuesday, June 11, 2026.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
