Black Stars coach to be announced by next week – Sports Minister

The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has revealed that the Ghana national football team is close to appointing a new head coach, with an official announcement expected within days.

Speaking on Channel One TV, the Minister said the recruitment process being undertaken by the Ghana Football Association is almost complete, and the new coach could be unveiled before the start of next week.

“If by this weekend we don’t announce the coach, then by Monday at the latest we should be able to present our new Black Stars coach,” he stated.

Kofi Adams expressed optimism about the future of Ghana football, insisting the national team still has the quality to compete at the highest level.

“We have what it takes to go very far, maybe even win the World Cup. Let’s remain hopeful,” he added.

The impending appointment has sparked widespread interest among fans and stakeholders, as Ghana seeks to rebuild and restore the Black Stars’ competitiveness on the global stage.
