A/R: Over 2,000 people left homeless after fire engulfs Afful Nkwanta

A devastating fire has ravaged Afful Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region, destroying more than 300 stores and rendering approximately 2,000 people homeless.

The blaze, which broke out on Monday, April 6, at around 4:30 a.m., was brought under control by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS). No casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The affected residents have appealed for support from the government and individuals to help them recover from the disaster.

"No official has come to check on us. We are struggling. We even sleep outside, so we are not counting our loses," a resident lamented.
