Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has shifted focus to frontline healthcare delivery with a GHS1.5 million medical equipment donation aimed at strengthening all 39 health facilities across the district.
The intervention, presented at Agona Amenfi, is designed to decentralise critical medical resources and improve access to quality care, particularly in underserved communities.
District Health Director, Abdul Ganiyu Nuhu, who received the items, described the intervention as “timely and transformative,” noting that key equipment including incubators, oxygen concentrators and anesthetic machines will significantly improve emergency response and maternal care outcomes.

Meanwhile, the distribution exercise is set to continue this week as part of a phased rollout across the constituency. On Wednesday, April 8, the team will begin distribution at Manso Amenfi Health Center and extend to surrounding facilities within the Manso Amenfi enclave. The exercise will proceed to the Agona Amenfi area on Thursday, April 9, covering the health centre and nearby facilities.

The initiative also aligns with the MP’s broader plan to upgrade selected CHPS compounds and expand healthcare infrastructure in the constituency.
