The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr. Osei Adutwum, has cut the sod for the construction of two school building projects in Behenase and Prabon.
Both projects, which are due for completion within six months, include a six‑unit classroom block, a staff common room, a computer lab, potable water and washrooms.
The Behenase community, which currently lacks a government school, is expected to benefit greatly from the new facility.
Dr. Adutwum also plans to renovate the Prabon school, built by the community chief, by providing new roofing sheets.
"Nana has done well, built a very nice kinagathen, he has done some and where it has gotten to, I have also taken over to cover it with roofing to help his good job.
"And also this current government has also help to get a school building to reduce congestion in the classroom and teachers also get a place to sleep, getting WC and water and as MP if I'm able to bring all these into my constituency then I have to thank God and Nananom," he stated.
The Chief of Prabon, Nana Akwaboah Hiamoh II, expressed gratitude to Dr. Adutwum for including Prabon in the school building projects, but urged the contractor to expedite the works to help decongest the student population.
