Agenda 111 left "No Fully Operational Hospital" after 8 years – Grace Ayensu

Deputy Health Minister Grace Ayensu-Danquah has criticized the previous administration over the stalled Agenda 111 project.

During a parliamentary session on February 24, the Hon. Minister stated that despite the expenditure of millions of Ghana cedis, none of the hospitals under the initiative have been completed and made fully operational.

"The previous government started the Agenda 111 project; at the end of the eight years, there was no single hospital that was fully operational," she disclosed.

Hon. Ayensu-Danquah further highlighted that several hospitals across the country were at the foundation level.

"What we came to meet was multiple hospitals littered around the country, some of them at the foundation level; there was no hospital that a human being could walk into," she revealed.

"However, they had spent millions and billions of Ghana cedis to the extent that the Auditor General surcharged 35 contractors 7.9 million," she added.
