The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the closure of the Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, with effect from February 20, 2026.
In a press statement issued on Monday, February 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision affects all applicants who were accessing services at the premium centres, including those with pending passport applications.
Affected applicants have been advised to visit their respective Regional Passport Application Centres to continue the processing of their passport applications.
To ensure a smooth transition, the Ministry encouraged applicants who require further assistance to contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit on 0302-754-200 for guidance and support.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality public service and assured the general public that measures are in place to maintain efficient and effective passport services despite the closure of the premium centres.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to take this opportunity to assure the general public of its commitment to deliver quality public service,” the statement concluded.
