Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that Ghana will showcase fugu and kente at a trade event in Zambia in March.
Speaking to reporters, he said that fugu is in high demand in Zambia, with many people contacting him regularly.
“We are going to Zambia next month for fugu and Kente trade exhibition because there’s so much high demand, and my counterparts keeps calling me. We connected them to some delivering companies but quantity,” he stated.
He noted that Zambia has designated its premier trade exhibition venue for Ghana, where the fugu and kente exhibition will take place.
“The momentum is very good internationally so l have instructed all ambassadors and high commissioners that the coming national day celebration, 6th of March, they should organize fugu and kente fair,” he said.
He also encouraged Ghanaians to champion Made in Ghana goods and to display the nation’s textiles and rich cultural heritage.
“This is a very good time and all of this is marketing Ghana and showing the beauty of Ghana” he added.
