Officers from the Okpoi Gono District Police Headquarters, under the leadership of Crime Officer ASP Grace Owusua Gyan, have detained two male individuals in a targeted operation aimed at an alleged kidnapping and organised cyber fraud syndicate located in Tema Community 25’s Devtracco Estate.
The detainees, recognised as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, were arrested following credible intelligence indicating that they were unlawfully holding ten individuals and forcing them into cybercrime activities.
According to a police report, the operation resulted in the successful rescue of the victims, who were reportedly compelled to participate in online fraudulent schemes under coercive circumstances.
However, investigations are still underway to identify additional accomplices and to reveal the complete extent of the network’s operations.
