Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged support for the new NPP National Executives, vowing an inclusive system where no talent is left out in 2028.
The Leader and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) congratulated all newly elected National Executives in a press release issued on Sunday, 4th October 2026. The elections were held in Kumasi on Saturday.
According to the statement, the vote marked the completion of the party's reorganisation ahead of the 2028 Presidential election. It was conducted in "an atmosphere of peace and transparency."
The statement said the outcome "reflects the wishes of the delegates of the New Patriotic Party," presenting the result as the legitimate choice of the party's grassroots.
The party's rank and file now expect the National Executives, led by John Boadu, to begin preparing the NPP for the 2028 election.
Dr. Bawumia has committed to supporting the new leadership in running "an inclusive system that allows all the talents in the party to be harnessed for victory in 2028."
He also set out the principle he wants to guide the campaign. "In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign," the statement said.
The message arrives as the NPP turns from internal elections to preparations for the next general election. By backing the new executives publicly, the party's flagbearer signals unity and a focus on the contest ahead.
