A 34‑year‑old taxi driver, Isaac Eshun, was attacked and beaten to death by hired thugs in Gomoa Achiasi in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
Information gathered from a reliable source indicates that the deceased's master called him to come and pick up a passenger.
While on his way to pick up the passenger, unknown assailants set upon him and beat him to death.
The motive for the attack was unknown at the time this information was reported.
The body has since been conveyed by the police to the Agona Swedru morgue for autopsy.
