The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially released the timetable for its 2026 constituency, regional and national executive elections following a directive by the party's Functional Executive Committee (FEC).

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, and signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary, the party said the timetable was approved at an FEC meeting held on Tuesday, 4 August 2026.

The NDC said the roadmap outlines every stage of its internal electoral process, including the opening and filing of nominations, vetting of aspirants, appeals, balloting and elections at the constituency, regional and national levels.

According to the timetable, nominations for constituency executive positions will open from 15 to 17 September 2026, with constituency elections scheduled for 24 and 25 October 2026. Regional nominations will run from 6 to 7 October, while regional elections are slated for 14 and 15 November 2026.

At the national level, nominations for executive positions will open from 20 to 21 October 2026, followed by the filing of nominations from 7 to 9 November, vetting on 12 and 13 November, appeals on 15 and 16 November, and the National Congress on 19 December 2026. The National Youth and Women's Conference is scheduled for 12 December 2026.

The party said the release of the timetable underscores its commitment to conducting transparent, credible and well-organised internal elections in accordance with the NDC Constitution and the approved election guidelines.

It urged regional and constituency executives, aspiring candidates and members to study the timetable carefully and comply with all timelines, procedures and deadlines to ensure a smooth and successful electoral process.

The NDC also expressed appreciation to its members, executives and stakeholders for their continued commitment to the party, saying the unity demonstrated throughout its reorganisation process would strengthen its efforts to secure "an emphatic victory" in the 2028 general elections.
