The President of the Licensed Cocoa Buyers Association of Ghana (LICOBAG), Samuel Animado, has commended the Business Executive Group for creating a platform that inspires innovation, recognises excellence and strengthens collaboration across Ghana's economy.

Delivering the keynote address at the 2nd edition of the Ghana 100 Trailblazers Conference and Awards 2026, Mr Animado described the initiative as an important contribution to promoting visionary leadership, entrepreneurship and national development.

"Business Executive Group has created a platform that encourages innovation, leadership and collaboration," Mr Animado said, noting that recognising outstanding individuals and organisations motivates others to pursue excellence and contribute to Ghana's socio-economic progress.

He said award schemes that celebrate achievement help build a culture of innovation, integrity and service while encouraging businesses and professionals to strive for higher standards.

Mr Animado congratulated the award recipients, describing them as trailblazers whose vision, perseverance and commitment continue to create opportunities and drive national development.

He urged the honourees to remain role models by inspiring future generations of entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders through ethical leadership and innovation.

Beyond celebrating excellence, Mr Animado called for stronger partnerships among the private sector, government and development partners to unlock new pathways for sustainable economic growth and enterprise development.

He also reaffirmed LICOBAG's commitment to strengthening Ghana's cocoa industry, announcing that the association will transition into the Chamber of Cocoa Marketers on 13 August 2026 to deepen collaboration across the cocoa value chain.

Held under the theme "Opening new pathways for Ghana's socioeconomic development," the Ghana 100 Trailblazers Conference and Awards brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry stakeholders to celebrate excellence while exploring innovative solutions to accelerate Ghana's economic transformation.
