70-year-old woman found dead; family allege body parts removed

A 70-year-old woman and member of the Church of Pentecost at Akyem Koforidua Akura, a suburb of Akroso in the Asene Manso Akroso District, has been found dead after reportedly going missing while on her way to church on July 26.

According to family members, the deceased left home to attend a church service but did not return, prompting relatives and residents to launch a search for her.

Her body was discovered on the morning of Monday, July 27, under disturbing circumstances. The family alleged that her heart and other body parts had been removed by unidentified assailants.

Police have been informed and have commenced investigations into the incident.

The motive behind the killing remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.

The incident has left residents of Akim Akroso in shock, with many calling on the security agencies to apprehend those responsible swiftly and bring them to justice.
