'We will accept free and fair results on presidential primaries' - Obeng Boateng

The Western North Regional Campaign Manager for Kennedy Agyapong, Alfred Obeng Boateng, has urged all party members and supporters to accept the outcomes of the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, scheduled for Saturday, January 31.

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani Anhwiaso-Bekwai revealed that he supports Kennedy Agyapong. However, he emphasised that if the results do not favour his preferred candidate, it is essential for the party to unite behind whoever emerges victorious.

“Once it's free and fair and, as we're moving forward, it’s two things that we’ll win, even though we believe that we have worked hard, and our candidate, with his message and the love Ghanaians have for him, shows that he’s the one who can lead the party.

“We believe that he’ll win, but it is also possible that it may not go that way. The other time we contested and couldn’t win, he didn't say the world should burn. Provided it’s free and fair, we’ll accept any verdict that comes in good faith and move on,” he assured.

Additionally, he took the opportunity to advise supporters against any form of violence during the election.

He stressed that the real task lies ahead after the primaries and urged party members not to fight one another, as unity will be essential for the party's future success.
