The spokesperson for the Aduana family of Asumenye in the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwabena Karikari, has announced that Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka Ababio will be buried at Gomoa Mpota on June 25, 2026.
Speaking to the media, he emphasised that the public should disregard any conflicting information from supposed relatives, church members, or others unless it comes directly from the Abusuapanyin of the Aduana Kotoko Royal Family, Mr Nyantekyi Adomakoh.
"The Royal Family of Aduana Kotoko in the Asumenye in the Ashanti Region said we should let you know that Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka Ababio who died, will be buried on June 15, 2026, that's when the family, children and church member will come together to celebrate his final funeral rites.
"He said i should tell all Ghanaians that if anyone comes to claim he is a family member or a church member to tell any information about the funeral, you should not believe it unless it comes from the Abusuapanyin's mouth," he stated.
Nana Karikari added that there is mutual understanding among the family, children, and church members, with no misunderstandings.
He noted that they held a meeting, reached a consensus on the funeral arrangements and date, and all signed the relevant documentation noting that even the date was proposed by Adwoa Sarfo.
He urged the public to ignore rumours of family disputes, dismissing claims by some bloggers as mere bids for popularity.
He further expressed appreciation to the public for their patience and understanding while awaiting the family's announcement.
"The understanding is there because we have met all of them we even have document that we all signed which shows everything is fine between the family so I the public should ignore any information by the bloggers, because some of these bloggers just say things to gain fame.
"We thank his excellency the President, the NPP members, and the entire people of Ghana for their patients since the death of our Royal Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka Ababio," he said.
