Asiedu Nketia calls for unity and support among oarty members post election

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party members who were not successful in securing political appointments following the 2024 NDC election victory to actively support the President's reset agenda.

During his "Thank You Tour" in the Bono Region, at the Berekum East Constituency, he encouraged them to lend their support to their successful competitors who have been appointed to serve the country, for the benefit of both the party and the nation as a whole.

Mr. Nketia emphasised that the NDC can only govern Ghana effectively beyond their four-year mandate if the current leadership succeeds.

He highlighted that their success largely depends on the valuable ideas contributed by all party members, regardless of whether they hold an appointment, to advance the reset agenda.

He stressed the importance of setting aside any pettiness and uniting for the progress of both the country and the NDC as a political party.

"Take it easy for us if you’ve not received anything, and those who went for various positions and did not win, whether DCE, School Feeding or otherwise, it will be in your interest that the government should stay in power for long.

"So that after the tenure of the one in position, you can also enjoy yours. If you went for any position and did not win, your responsibility is to help those who won for more development.

"When everything goes well, President Mahama will have trust in the presence of people, and they’ll say the NDC government should be in power for long," he advised.
